Haley's Novel!

I, like many other girls, am 17. And like the girls afflicted with this age comes several other afflictions. Whether these are caused by the times, god, or "the pain of puberty" as Graham Greene plainly states it, is a question for the ages. Whatever your denominational belief, or lack there of, may be, the fact remains that 17 is a test.

Now, I've heard that 13 is a lucky number, but I think that's proposterous. The only good thing that came out of me being 13 was my english teacher and boobs. Those were the petty days when the only thing that mattered was getting your first kiss before your first period. Now's the time when you're on the brink of destruction or success. Every little decision matters. You have to consider your financial future when selecting a boyfriend just in case he could be the one. Choosing a college or a major now can effect the type of car you buy your kid when they turn 16. Ah to be lucky 13 again when high school was a bright and beautiful place full of boys to be caught, books to be conquered, teams to be tried, and parties....lots. Little do the naive pubessant children know that it's merely a launching pad for the rest of every decision you will make in your entire life.

I guess a launching pad of a building is the best place to launch a good story. So here goes
